💕

Valentine’s Day 2022 is almost here.

If you still don’t know how to celebrate with your honey, this research from Zippia.com may help.

Zippia is a job and career site that uses Google Trends to determine each state’s favorite romance movies. The site first compiled a list of the 10 most popular romance movies based on “box office revenue and notoriety,” including some classics.

These include:

  • “Casablanca”, 1943
  • “The Shape of Water”, 2017
  • “Call Me By Your Name”, 2017
  • West Side Story, 2021
  • “She”, 2014
  • “Annie Hall”, 1977
  • Gone with the Wind, 1939
  • “Before Sunrise”, 1995
  • “Titanic”, 1997
  • “The Notebook”, 2004

In Keystone, we’re humming “I Think It’s Beautiful” and picking up on Maria and Tony’s romance in the 2021 remake of “West Side Story,” as well as New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Utah.

According to Zippa, other findings include:

Gone with the Wind remains at the top in the South, including Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.

“The Notebook” is a favorite in North Carolina (where the movie was filmed) as well as Mississippi and West Virginia.

Alaska joins Iowa, Kansas, Michigan and North Dakota in obsession with the ‘Titanic’.

Florida loves “Casablanca,” as do Wisconsin, Wyoming, Missouri, and Delaware.
