This week I visited what I think is the most romantic restaurant in Cambridge and tested their special Valentine’s menu.

6. The Varsity Hotel in Cambridge At its most romantic, with panoramic views of the city and a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view with a glass of champagne – this is the most elegant evening you can spend in Cambridge.

On Valentine’s Day, they intensify the romance even more.

The restaurant has launched a special Valentine’s Day menu with exclusive Valentine’s Day cocktails.

They offer a three-course set menu for £64.50 per person, which includes a soft drink.

Exclusive Cocktail

The two special edition Valentine’s Day cocktails are fantastic and I highly recommend adding them to your meal for something extra.

The first one I tried was a soulmate martini. Very apt name – not to mention a boyfriend, I think this cocktail could actually be my soulmate.

If you love blueberries and have a little sweet tooth, this is absolutely amazing and perfect for you.

Another cocktail is the Strawberry Shortcake Daiquiri.

Now, this is like a dream come true for me, I love strawberry daiquiri, but this one is just another story.

It’s incredibly refreshing, and once you take a sip, you’ll feel like you’re on a sunny beach.

I ordered a vegetarian appetizer which was Burrata. This includes tomato caponata, wild rocket, and charcoal grilled toast.

It’s really tasty but simple and nothing special.

However, the presentation is impeccable and impeccable.

Then came the main course.

I ordered the wood stone grilled salmon and it was the best salmon I have ever had in my life.

It was fresh and cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft and buttery in the middle.

It comes with fire roasted peppers and jumbo couscous, which is new to me and something I’ve never tried.

The main course was really the highlight of the meal.

Then comes my favorite part of any dinner – dessert.

I was so excited to see my favorite dish on the menu cheesecake!

It was a classic vanilla cheesecake with candied fruit and I was not disappointed.

The fruit preserves on the cheesecake give it a rich, fruity flavor.

Overall, I’m not saying you can’t find a better place to spend Valentine’s Day — especially if you’re trying to impress your Valentine.

You can book here for Monday 14 February for £64.50.
