The mission Unlikely Valentine is a Fallout 4 quest and part of IGN’s complete wiki guide and Walkthrough to Fallout 4.

Important Locations:

Follow your Pip Boy tracker NE to Boston Common where you’ll find this subway station entrance on the plaza. Be ready for a fight when you step down here. It’s good to bring some backup…this place is absolutely crawling with thugs.

The old subway station is a rat’s nest of enemies. The Triggermen here mostly wield SMG’s and bats. They’re especially dangerous at medium to close range.

Choose the lefthand-down path. If you have the Bobby Pins to spare you can loot the room near the lobby terminal.

The Subway Platform is crawling with Triggermen. Don’t rush through or you’ll be surrounded. Gradually work right and across the tracks.

Once the room is clear, you can choose to double-back to the left-side tunnel on the far side of the tracks from where you entered. This door leads to a passage and a Safe.

The ra corner of the platform from the stairs down is the entrance to Vault 114. Use your Pip Boy to open the doors.

114 is a sprawling descent and crammed with more Triggermen. Take the passage to the left of the main door and keep winding downward. Like your own Vault, this one is full of useful items, so if you have the inventory room be sure to grab what you can.

You’ll come to a vast chamber littered with catwalks platforms. Wind you way down and and around to the left. The room at the end has a hole in the floor. Drop through.

Follow the marker to this vast chamber. Kill the thug outside by sneaking up for several headshots. Use the terminal next to the door to open it and meet Valentine.

Behind Valentine on the table is a Bobblehead. Grab it. Then follow Valentine back through the Vault. In the large open plaza you’ll face the first of several enemy waves. Clear them and then return to following Nick. Save frequently as this part of the game can glitch.

Grab this book when you spot it.

When you finally reach the exit, you’ll meet Skinny’s crew. With a careful Charisma check you can diffuse the situation. If you clear out before the gangster counts to ten he won’t harm you. You can of course decide to kill them as well. If you choose that option, we suggest opening the fight with a Molotov or Grenade, as it will give you the edge when the bullets start to fly. Run to the open platform, wait for Valentine, follow him to the surface, and head back to his office in Diamond City.

This quest leads into Getting a Clue.
