The annual love festival is here! Valentine’s Day is February 14th and is dedicated to expressing admiration and love for that special someone. On this day, the whole world is painted with love. People express their love to their significant other through gifts and greetings. Couples make their partners feel special by planning romantic dinners, weekend getaways or even short getaways. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic limiting several outdoor plans this year, most of us are likely to spend our big days indoors.

To make sure you have an unforgettable Valentine’s Day this year, we’ve put together a list of ideas you can use. So don’t worry about staying home and make the day special with these creative ways:

Recreate your first date

Remember the first time you go out with your partner, you can’t help but gush about how awesome they are. Now is the time to relive that sweet moment. Dress up similar to what you wore on your first date, cook or order the same meal, and take a trip down memory lane.

Have a movie marathon

If you and your partner are looking for some quality time to unwind, this is the perfect way to do so. Make a list of romantic comedies or watch some of your favorite romantic movies to set the mood for Valentine’s night.

Couples Spa at Home

Pamper yourself at home with a moisturizing facial and pedicure. Grab a bottle of essential oils and give your partner a stress-relieving massage. Set the mood with some candles and relaxing background music. Let your partner reciprocate your favor and thank you.

fun karaoke

Sing together some of your favorite romantic duets. A karaoke machine will help enliven the moment. You can also sing some special songs for your lover to let them know how much they mean to you. Lie back comfortably on the sofa and end your meeting with a melodious romantic song.

Create a scavenger hunt for why I love you

On a set of notes, cards, or just different colored pieces of paper, write down what you love about your partner or something you want to remind them of. Hide notes in different parts of the house. Add cues to guide your partner from one card to another. If you don’t have time to plan a treasure hunt, you can write a love letter to your partner and appreciate all the good things in them.

Camping in your backyard

If you have a private outdoor space, grab some cozy blankets, light a campfire, and prepare a delicious barbecue. Spend time in each other’s company while stargazing at night. You can also hang some string lights to make things romantic.

get to know each other better

Take the time to learn more about your partner. Ask them questions and be open. Create an intimate connection with your loved ones. This Valentine’s Day, you’re sure to discover something new and interesting about your partner.
