What better place to celebrate Valentine’s Day than in brotherhood and sisterhood? Whether you’re toasting romance, or cherishing your best friend, there are plenty of ways to share love this Valentine’s Day.

Unfortunately, love isn’t the only thing in the air. COVID-19 is still around, so be sure to wear a mask and be prepared to bring proof of vaccinations for many events.

Here’s where the Philadelphia area celebrates Valentine’s Day this year.

(Wine/In-person/Multi-Day) Spend Valentine’s Day weekend tasting wines from Black-owned winemaker Mitchell & Mitchell. Taste chocolate and wine, paired with special foods to sweeten the occasion. (Shopping/Face to Face/Music) The 13th annual Jinxed heART show is back. Stop for an afternoon at a popular antique shop to sample local art, drinks, roast pigs and other treats. Proof of vaccination is required. (February 12, 5-9pm, 1915 Washington Street, instagram.com)

(Music/Face/Drink) What was the best decade of love songs? Discover at this event that Sonic Bang will be playing your favorite love songs from the ’60s and beyond. Bring your bestie, baby, or just yourself for a great night of music, drinks and food. Your ticket includes a live performance and a glass of sake. (Party/Face-to-Face/Science) Philadelphia’s Insectarium and Butterfly House hosted an evening for the 2022 Valentine’s Day party, with everything from face painting to fortune telling. (Music/Face-to-Face) There is nothing more quintessentially romantic than a candlelight evening and a string quartet. Go on a date alone or take a lover to a classical music night at the BOK building. Proof of vaccination is required. ($45, Feb 13, 6 and 8, 1901 S. 9th Street, fever network)

(skating/face-to-face/outdoor) Bring your lover and head to the ice at RiverRink for an advanced skating lesson. They’ll bring flowers to your sweetheart and a DJ to keep the skateboarding alive. (Art/Face-to-Face) Explore Philadelphia’s Enchanted Gardens like you’ve never seen it before, with a focus on dazzling mosaic galleries and the romantic elements of labyrinths. You and your lover can learn about garden artist Isaiah Zagar, his wife Julia and their love story. ($16-25, Feb 14, 6:30-7:45pm, 1020 South Street, phillymagicgardens.org)

(art/face-to-face) Wow, you’re on a date in Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel and there’s no flight to Vatican City. An immersive art exhibit in the Fashion District will light candles and string quartets will play romantic repertoire throughout the night. Proof of vaccination is required.
