Sunnyvale hosts sweet Valentine’s Day treasure hunt – The Mercury News

💕

Love is where you’ll find it, especially in Sunnyvale, where the city’s arts council is sponsoring a candy heart scavenger hunt to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Through February 14, residents were invited to “Find Love in Sunnyvale,” where they snapped 100 Valentine’s Day candy heart signs scattered across the city, then posted their photos on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #LoveSunnyvale Tag of. For bonus points, the Sunnyvale Art Club has created hearts with the aforementioned labels, and their photos count as five regular hearts.

Everyone who posts will enter a sweepstakes where a winner will be chosen at random. The person who posts the most photos of these heart logos will win a prize, as will the person who posts the most creative image with the heart logo on it. The latter will be judged by volunteers delivering heart signs throughout Sunnyvale.

The prize is a $50 gift card to buy Pints of Joy, Dishdash or Leigh’s favorite book, all at Sunnyvale.

For clues, visit https://www.facebook.com/SunnyvaleArts for a map showing the locations of the 100 heart markers.

“This map is deliberately low resolution,” said Arts Commissioner Winnie Lam.
