Love the cold Pensacola air this February. Whether you’re looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a last-minute date or just want to do something fun with your friends, here are some local date spots to bring your significant other, friends, or just have a great day alone February 14th.

Bar515 Cocktails & Tapas, 4495 Chumuckla Highway, Pace

If you’re panicking about wanting to make a last-minute date, but find that the place is full, Bar515 Cocktails and Snacks may be the perfect option, as seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the restaurant. In the evenings from 4pm to 10pm, the restaurant will offer drink and food specials. Some of the signature cocktails are the $10 Lady in Red, the $9 Love Potion or the $8 Sweetheart. Regular menus will also be available throughout the evening.

There will also be live music from the band About to Sweat from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.

While reservations are accepted, Valentine’s Day extravaganzas in walk-in comfort are still welcome. In addition to the three-course meal, the chef’s menu also includes roses, chocolates and drinks for adults. Some special Valentine’s entrees to look forward to include lobster enchiladas, steak medallions and basmati rice over basmati rice, and vegetarian entree options. Pricing is $50 per couple. Reservations are still being accepted and can be made by calling 850-432-8100. Cactus Flower Café is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 9pm.

Calvert’s in the Heights, 670 Scenic Highway, East Heights

This friendly neighborhood restaurant offers a romantic atmosphere with a special Valentine’s Day menu and Joe Occhipinti’s jazz music from 6pm to 9pm. Walk-ins are also accepted, although there may be a wait, especially for the two top tables. The menu is priced at $60 per person and includes a variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Entree choices include Beef Wellington, Grilled Rib Eye, Walnut Shell Salmon, Champagne Chicken and Shrimp, and Scallops on Fettuccine. The full menu can be found on the restaurant’s Facebook page. Fish House, 600 S. Barracks St.

The walk-in-only restaurant will be offering both lunch and dinner options on the day of love, from 11am to 3pm for lunch and 3pm for dinner service. In addition to the regular menu, there will be a special lunch dinner featuring crispy snapper with pistachios with roasted root vegetables, warm apple and pear chutney, and finally white sauce. If you’re looking for a more laid-back Valentine’s Day date, or a coffee with friends, Sleepy Poet at Navy Boulis has several February specials to help celebrate. Some of the specialty drinks include Cupid’s Arrow in white chocolate and raspberry flavours, Burning Love Latte in white chocolate, raspberry with chilli and cinnamon, topped with whipped cream and cinnamon, and Chocolate Strawberry Latte . Sleepy Poet will be open on Valentine’s Day from 6am to 8pm.

This artisan doughnut shop has a selection of Valentine’s Day doughnut ideas until and on February 14th. Special treats come in a variety of colors, flavors, fillings, toppings, and even edible sequins. Maynard’s will be open Monday from 10am to 8pm

AJ’s Market & Ice Cream at Southtowne, 140 S. Jefferson St.

This place offers more indulgent treats such as Red Devil Cake and Ice Cream and Dark Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie. Guests can order in person on Valentine’s Day or in advance for delivery within a mile of the store on Valentine’s Day, between 4pm and 8pm. If you want to get in early and get dessert or pre-order, Peter Brook has a variety of truffles, chocolate strawberries, and decorated chocolate chip shortbread to choose from. Peterbooke will be open on Valentine’s Day from 10am to 9pm.

This “Girls just want to have fun!” Ladies’ brunch includes karaoke, a mimosa bar, and a delicious brunch buffet on the Bodacious balcony. A 21+ drink ticket and an optional bottomless mimosa wristband are included with every ticket purchase. General admission is $50, bottomless mimosa surcharge is $25. Even if not the most flexible, the couple’s yoga class is sure to be a fun time as it involves wine. The couple’s class is $30 and runs from 9:30am to 11am, with lunch and wine included in the price. Classes will be led by professional yoga instructors. Classes start at 9:30am and punctual at 10am Classes are limited but can be purchased online on the Casks & Flights website.

Grizzly Axe, 6300 N. Davis Highway

Whether looking for fun date ideas together to get revenge on your ex’s significant other, Axes and Oh’s special axe throw might be perfect. Heartbreakers and heartbreakers are welcome at the event, with heart-shaped targets on planks to target. The package is $50 for two and includes 30 minutes of axe throwing at a heart-shaped target and an advanced rage room where couples can smash different breakables. Treasure Hunt Cards will be available starting at 4:30pm and will continue until 6:30pm Partners are encouraged to roam the bookstore looking for different books that will help you get to know each other, such as “Find a book that describes your relationship”.
