Matteo Di Pomponio, an engineer from Rome, surprises his fiancé to celebrate their engagement in the City of Love.

For young Argentines, the city’s romantic allure is more than a clichĂ©.

“When you’re in love, I think you’re going to enjoy it in a different way,” Feigen said. “You see the magic of things and that’s the most important thing. If you are positive and you want to see beautiful things, you will see beautiful things.”

Ines Smaili and Badr Guerouali moved from Morocco to Paris and lived there for many years before moving to Lyon.

The couple happily posed outside a flower shop engulfed in a sea of red roses, but for the pair, the city’s aura had faded a bit.
