💕

LOVELAN, Colo. — Maybe add a historic pit stop when you send your sweetheart a card this year.

For 76 years, the Loveland Chamber of Commerce’s all-volunteer team of women is stamping approximately 200,000 mail with locally written poems.

Mindy McCloughan, president of the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, said: “So we ran a contest and we actually created a cache of stamps that were actually printed on it — and a new postmark every year. “People send their cards from all over the world to be hand-stamped by our volunteers.”

She’s not kidding: They got mail from all 50 states and more than 110 countries.

Deadlines are fast approaching, so if you want to add an extra touch to your Valentine’s Day card, you’ll want to send it out ASAP. They can be mailed to the Loveland Post Office at 446 E. 29th Street and 601 Cleveland Ave until February 10.

You can also have it delivered to the following locations in Loveland by February 9:

  • Loveland Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center – 5400 Stone Creek Circle Suite 200
  • Target Community College – 104 East Fourth Street
  • Independent Finance – 935 Cleveland Ave.
  • Barnyard Pet and Supply – 806 14th Street SW
  • Mueller Pye and Associates CPA LLC – 762 W. Eisenhower Blvd.
  • Elevations Credit Union – 970 E Eisenhower Blvd.
