District 54 residents express love to area seniors on Valentine’s Day

State Rep. Tom Morrison expressed his gratitude to area residents who sent hearts to local seniors this Valentine’s Day.

“In the best possible way, the outpouring of interest and engagement has been overwhelming,” said Rep. Morrison. “I’m especially proud of how many young people are coming forward and sending letters to help bridge the generation gap.”

Rep. Morrison’s office has collected nearly 2,000 Valentine’s Day cards from students, families and residents across the district. Rep. Morrison would like to express special thanks to Holy Family College, Christian Liberty College, St. Teresa School, Willow Bend School, Rolling Meadows High School French Club, Emmanuel Lutheran School and Barrington Middle School Station campus.

Rep. Morrison personally delivered Valentine’s Day gifts to senior living facilities, including Palatine’s Greencastle and Solstice Senior Living.

“They really appreciate the effort that so many people put into making them feel noticed and appreciated,” he said. “It just goes to show that the little things can make a big difference. A gesture of kindness and kindness, no matter how small, can make a big difference. important.”
