On Valentine’s Day, Mumbai Police tweeted a set of minimalist graphics depicting a hypothetical dialogue between the heart emoji and the mask emoji. The conversation took inspiration from Bollywood romance hits and asserted the importance of wearing masks.

Many netizens online were impressed by the simple yet impactful message from the Mumbai police on Monday.

The Twitter account of the Mumbai police chief also posted a small video with the message, “If you want to feel safe, find a lover like this. Screenshot to find your lover.” The video emphasized responsible citizenship Behaviours such as not drinking and driving, getting double vaccinations, and following online safety measures.

Not only Mumbai Police, but other departments also made Valentine’s Day-specific posts on social media.

In a tweet, Nagpur police encouraged people to report cases of harassment in the form of unwelcome and unrequited romantic gestures. The law enforcement agency tweeted: “Chocolate that anyone doesn’t want? Let us know. We want to add some sweetness. Have a safe #day. #NagpurPolice #AlwaysThere4U”.

Delhi Police stressed the importance of consent and shared their anti-stalking hotline number (1069).

Uttar Pradesh police are urging people to vote in the ongoing parliamentary elections.

“Dating EVM makes romance with democracy a permanent thing,” it tweeted.
