Chicago’s Museum of Medieval Torture Offers Valentine’s Day Specials

If you’ve been struggling to find the perfect Valentine’s Day date experience, we might be one of them.

chicago – If you’ve been struggling to find the perfect Valentine’s Day date experience, then we might be what you’re looking for.

The new museum on State Street provides an unforgettable experience. Adjacent to the Chicago Theater is the largest collection of medieval torture instruments in the United States. But this is not for the faint of heart.

“It’s dark and romantic. There are a lot of candles,” said museum manager Paula Malone.

The Museum of Medieval Torture offers the largest interactive collection of medieval torture devices, where visitors can try out guillotines, witch scales, and hand flails.

Inside, visitors are inspired by some twisted love stories. Like a maiden in a dungeon, in a hanging cage because the mistress accuses her lover of looking at the woman wistfully.

Another woman drowned in a bucket after her husband’s lover accused her of being a witch.

All told, there are eight painful reminders of why living in this century isn’t so bad. The collection includes hundreds of pieces. 20% to 40% are real.

Tickets are $29.99 each and include an audio guide and ghost hunting experience.

The museum also offers black roses for Valentine’s Day.
