New Orleans (NOLA Weekend) – Whether you’re looking to hang out with the girls or planning a lovely date night, several New Orleans area venues are hosting special events to make your Valentine’s Day unforgettable. From prix-fixe menus to fun bar events, Valentine’s Day-themed events begin next week and run until Valentine’s Day on Monday, February 14th.

Galentine’s Gadgets and Botox Activity: New Orleans Aesthetics and Diamonds Direct partners at Galentine’s Baubles & Botox on February 8th from 4-6pm. Bring your besties and enjoy refreshments, desserts, door prizes and special treatments from New Orleans Aesthetics. The event was held at Diamonds Direct, 3230 Seventh Avenue, Metairie.

Krewe of You Valentine’s Day Photo Installation: While everyone is getting ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the Virgin Hotel New Orleans wants to take a moment to celebrate! The weekend before Valentine’s Day, the Virgin Hotel New Orleans is hosting Krewe of You, a fun Valentine’s Day photo installation. Beginning Friday, February 11, take a photo with the heart-shaped candy installation in the Shag Room, located on the ground floor of the hotel. Bring your partner, galentine or furry friend for a photoshoot!

Josephine Estelle’s Valentine’s Day: Josephine Estelle is serving a four-course Valentine’s Day menu for dinner from Saturday, February 12 to Monday, February 14. Options include Pancetta Wrapped Gulf Tuna, Grilled Steak and Vegan Cauliflower “Steak” Piccata. Reservations for Valentine’s Day can be made through OpenTable.

Roll It: Extra Sweet Valentine’s Day Edition: Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Ace Hotel is making a comeback with “Roll With it Sessions” at Barnett Hall. They’ll be hosting four skating competitions from February 12-13 featuring tunes from local talent like DJ Otto, C’est Funk and DJ Brice. The great folks at New Orleans Skate School will provide lessons, and all tickets include skate rental, a bag of popcorn, and bottled water for a complete skating rink experience. There’s also a $50 session that includes a cocktail to end it all. Skating lessons are as follows: Saturday, Feb. 12: 3-5pm ($30) and 7-9pm ($50); Sunday, Feb. 13: 1-3pm ($30) and afternoon 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock ($30). Buy tickets here.

Boucherie Valentine’s Day Menu: Boucherie offers a special menu for Valentine’s Day, available to guests on Saturday 12th February and Monday 14th February from 5pm to 9.30pm. The menu includes a four-course pre-order menu for $90, plus an optional wine pairing for an additional $35 (wine pairing is halved on Mondays). Enjoy evenings on the restaurant’s romantic outdoor patio (with industrial heaters for cool evenings) or dine indoors for true New Orleans charm. See the menu here.

Heartbreak Hotel Gal-entine Day Evening: The Heartbreak Hotel Gal-entine’s Day Soiree at the Monkey Board on February 12 from 7pm to 1am can gather all over the city. DJ Legaton Prime will provide music, while Milkfish will provide food pop-ups live. Get tickets through Opentable.

Bachelorette Bar Bounce Experience at NOLA Galentine: Elevate your Galentine festivities this year by gathering your favorite girlfriends for a funky bar at some of New Orleans’ best bars. Valentine’s Market: Find the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for your loved one at a special Valentine’s Market at the Commons Club and Funny Library coffee shop inside the Virgin Hotel New Orleans on Sunday, February 13th from noon to 4pm.Local suppliers include sorella nora; Accomplished Fact | Nora; Flour Pot Macarons; and Lucy Boone Ice Cream and others. Paradigm Passion: For a unique Valentine’s Day date night, celebrate on February 14th under the stars in the verdant emerald paradise of Paradigm Gardens. It’s an all-inclusive five-course experience, including a welcome cocktail and a bottle of wine. Food prepared by Chef Pat of Karibu Kitchen, and live acoustic performances from international R&B/reggae recording artist Teki. BYOB is also allowed. Must be at least 21 years old to enter. Commons Club’s Valentine’s Day Deals: Couples looking to eat out can celebrate love at the Commons Club on Monday, February 14, where Executive Chef Alex Harrell will serve Valentine’s Day specials such as smoked beets, grilled bay oysters, grilled scallops and pineapple upside-down cake. Spiritual guide Christy Bradley will present a very special raspberry truffle martini served in a cocoa-rimmed glass and garnished with Luxardo cherries. Valentine’s Day dinner is served from 4pm to 10pm at Virgin Hotels New Orleans at 550 Baronne Street. Dinner reservations can be made on OpenTable.

Valentine’s Day at The Bower: Located in the Lower Garden District, The Bower invites couples to celebrate Valentine’s Day with signature desserts and cocktails, such as pastry chef Graham Wolfe’s rose petal flourless chocolate cake; Rum and roses. For dinner, guests can enjoy dishes from the restaurant’s signature a la carte menu. The restaurant will be open on Monday, February 14th from 4pm to 9pm. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Bower is located at 1320 Magazine Street.

Valentine’s Day Happy Hour at Bower’s Bar: Looking for something more casual? Head to the brand new Bower Bar (formerly Claret Wine & Cocktail Bar) for a date spot for cocktails, conversation and snacks. Valentine’s Day Happy Hour will be held on Monday, February 14th from 4pm to 6pm, sure to lure $8 signature cocktails and daily House Punch; $7 bottled wine; and $4 beer. Items include discounted ($6-$12) charcuterie plates, cheese plates, cacio e pepe, crispy cauliflower, whipped feta and warm Castelvetrano olives.

Valentine’s Day Dinner at Tujague’s: This Valentine’s Day, guests can enjoy à la carte Creole cuisine at Tujague’s from Executive Chef Gus Martin and a selection of signature Valentine’s Day desserts from recently appointed Pastry Chef Karen Anderson. Decadent desserts include creme brulee, bread pudding, and decadent chocolate melt cake topped with chocolate strawberries and seasonal fruit jam. Valentine’s Day Dinner will be served with indoor and outdoor seating on Monday, February 14 from 5pm to 9pm. Tujague’s is located at 429 Decatur Street. Mr. Mao’s Valentine’s Day: Mister Mao, the Tropical Inn restaurant in Uptown, offers a three-course set menu for two for $125 (excluding tax and tip). Chef/owner Sophina Uong’s menu includes home-style Korean dumplings, hot fried chicken and Japanese dishes, along with a chef’s selection of chocolate lollipops and a bottle of Tribaut Schloesser French champagne to keep it classy. Reservations can be made through Resy or by calling the restaurant. Mr. Mao is located at 4501 Tchoupitoulas in New Orleans.

Jack Rose’s Galentine Day Brunch: Jack Rose, the crown jewel of the Pontchartrain Hotel, will be serving a festive Gallentin brunch on Sunday, February 13 from 11am-2pm. The three-course prix-fixe offers delicacies such as grilled oysters with lemon, horseradish, and thyme; glittery chicken and waffles with maple syrup; scallop carbonara with saffron orecchiette, lardons; and crawfish frittata with Peas, lemon. Valentine’s Day Dinner at Jack Rose: Jack Rose will also be offering a special Valentine’s Day dinner curated by chef/owner Brian Landry on Monday, February 14th. This three-course prix-fixe speciality includes royal red prawns and studs with red and green pesto, basil oil; pork belly with white beans, fennel, radishes, salsa; small fish fillets with parsnip puree , mushroom butter; grouper with scallops, oysters, squid; and lamb rolls with white beans, sumac yogurt. Festive Valentine’s Day Specials at Toups’ Meatery: This Valentine’s Day, Toups’ Meatery is a modern downtown Cajun restaurant offering holiday specials to impress your Valentine. In addition to Chef Isaac Toups’ signature menu, he’ll be serving large, juicy platinum wagyu steaks and sea scallops. Guests can complement their dining experience with one of Meatery’s creative cocktails, such as Spirit Guide #2, along with sumac-infused tequila, cocoa, and damiana.
