Need to put together (last minute) something special for this Valentine’s Day of yours?

In the name of love, the ES team has done the hard work for you and found the trendiest spa in London to provide the perfect pampering package for the two of you, so you can relax and have a great time.

From thermal pools to deep-tissue massages and luminous oxygen facials, we’ve got you covered with the best comprehensive services below. You’re welcome.

Couples Massage, Pan Pacific London

    (Jack Hardy)

(Jack Hardy)

The spa is the best. Lying down, heady smells, human touches – what’s not to like? It gets even better at Pan Pacific, a magnificent 19-storey new hotel in the heart of Liverpool Street. The spa’s infinity pool overlooks busy Bishopsgate Square. So as you recline on the deck chair and sip a chilled glass of sauvignon blanc, you’ll get the extra thrill of seeing your fellow Londoners stumble along on the 26 bus.

This glorious smugness continues as you’re taken to the 17th floor (with a view of the surrounding offices, including London landmark The Gherkin) to a luxurious suite for a full-body massage. Each treatment is completely tailored to the recipient (I have knots in my shoulders and neck, plus one for my head and scalp with headaches). End the day with a sumptuous dinner (go to share a plate for maximum romance) at the hotel’s modern South Asian restaurant, Straits Kitchen, then roll into a king-size bed and drift off to your zen with the help of the fancy ChiliSleep Ooler’s sleep cooling system Intention to be controlled.

The Inner Calm treatment begins with a deeply nourishing massage using deeply scented ESPA Restorative Oil. Calm yourself as your therapist patiently kneads and taps all the knots and tensions from your toes to your shoulders, ending with a heavenly scalp massage that leaves you relaxed and ultimately less likely to wake up. In the name of love, Jumeirah Carlton Hotel

    (Jumeirah)

(Jumeirah)

Our Valentine’s afternoon package begins with afternoon tea at The Chinoiserie at the newly renovated Jumeirah Carlton Tower luxury hotel in Belgravia. We devoured all-you-can-eat sandwiches, think blue lobster brioche and English pickles, served with clean white bread, scones and desserts, sipped chilled Ruinart glasses and a variety of refreshing treats from around the world Tea.

Next up is Talise Spa for our two-hour “Celebration of Love” couples massage. Beginning with scent consultations to make sure the treatment matched our mood – in my case, commute-induced exhaustion – a highly personalised deep tissue full body massage quickly took the stress out of our city.

Our masseuses use rose quartz crystals to open the heart chakra for additional healing and complete a divine facial massage to remove puffiness. We ended our evening at the swimming pool with its glass domed roof, poolside cabanas and Jacuzzi where we could enjoy herbal teas and dried fruit snacks. Indulgence is the best.

Mediterranean Candlelight Massage, London Landmark Spa

    (London Landmark Hotel)

(London Landmark Hotel)

Start your treatment with one of three Mediterranean-inspired candle scents: lavender, citrus or olive oil. The candle wax is actually shea butter, poured directly on your back – an experience in itself. (Don’t worry, it’s not hot enough to burn.) After 50 or 80 minutes, the masseuse will rub your body with a scented wax from head to toe, soothing any tension and buffing your skin as you enter a full state Hydrate happiness. When you’re done, you can spend some time in the relaxation room to rehydrate with water and herbal teas as needed, then relax and rejuvenate with a rejuvenated sauna or swimming pool, or a chilled bottle of champagne by the hotel fireplace. Love Connection, El Gu Bath

    (El Gu Bath)

(El Gu Bath)

Knock on the door of the 18th-century Charing Cross townhouse at Ayrgu Bath and you’ll see a sign: “Relax and wait.” Inside, take a seat at the Candlelight Library, descend the stairs to the dressing room, and step inside Impressive spa to try. There is a rubber band system and it feels a bit communal pool where you have to wear wet shoes – but it’s worth it.

On Valentine’s Day, they offer Love Connection, a special package that includes a 45 or 60 minute full body massage using warm sandalwood oil and amethyst crystals, and a full thermal bath with rose cava and macarons . Flying solo for V-Day? Sign up for the Love Yourself option, a package. Soak in a warm bath of body temperature before braving the 10-degree Frigidarium and jet bath. Save the best for last – a Flotarium with a salt density level that matches the Dead Sea. This one is warm and has spa music.

Aqua Pure Hydrafacial by Young LDN Galentine

    (young LDN)

(young LDN)

Notting Hill has long been one of London’s coolest corners, and beauty and skincare destination Young LDN has only elevated its status. Designed for long pampering sessions, the salon offers nail, hair, face and body treatments under a photo-ready roof. In short, the perfect Galentine place for you and your inner circle. While Mani Station provides a great place to catch up (or scream tinder scammer together on the tablet provided at each table), proper pampering happens underground. Here you can enjoy a massage or a deep cleansing facial, such as one of Young LDN’s most popular treatments, the Aqua Pure Hydrafacial.

The non-invasive facial begins with a triple cleanse to remove every piece of makeup from the skin before gentle water microdermabrasion begins. I imagine that the dead cells of your winter wear getting sucked out by a vacuum feel like being kissed by a fish – a little weird, but not uncomfortable. Micro-currents and electro-actions also come into play, and by the end of the 60-minute session, your complexion feels refreshed, looks revitalized, and your skin is visibly plumper. Despite the suction and hot and cold elements of the face, I found it very relaxing and booked at the end of the day, it felt soothing enough to fall into a semi-sleep state.

While you and your BFF can’t do this in the same room at the same time, if you’re looking for a way to spoil your ride or die, this facial will make them ecstatic.
