A week-long skincare routine for soft, supple skin this Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is almost here and who doesn’t like to look good. If you want your skin to glow this Valentine’s Day to attract your special love, we’ve got you covered with an easy-to-follow skincare routine that nourishes your skin from the inside. Not just Valentine’s Day, even if you want to do some self-care on any ordinary day – here’s your guide.

Day 1

The first step in your skincare routine is basic cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Before going to work or working from home, cleanse your skin properly with a natural cleanser and apply a toner to close skin pores. This helps improve blood circulation. After toning, massage your face gently with any herbal moisturizer or whatever works for your skin. Nighttime skin care is just as important, clean your face and use a nighttime cream or moisturizer before bed.

Day 2

Prepare a glass of warm water and add lemon juice and honey – this will help detox from the inside. Make a thick paste with raw wholesome milk and pure sandalwood powder. Compared to cosmetics, natural ingredients work wonders. Apply the mixture to the face in the morning or noon, let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off with water. This increases the firmness of the facial tissue and helps to cleanse the skin’s pores. It removes excess oil, dirt, and even blackheads. In the evening, follow your night care regime.

Day 3

On day 3, use a facial scrub or sponge to scrub your face. It will remove dead skin cells. Now prepare a mask – mix equal parts tomato and cucumber juices and apply to face and neck. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off with tap water. This mask lightens the complexion, hydrates and retains moisture from within. The mask is also used to reduce tanning and blemishes and further add radiance to your skin. Now, apply moisturizer.

Day 4

Give your face a nice steam bath. This opens up any clogged pores in the skin and helps it flush out excess oil, impurities and grime. Prepare papaya mask by mashing ripe papaya. Apply to face and neck and gently wash off after 15 minutes. Papaya mask increases collagen production, leaving your skin soft, supple, radiant and youthful. Use rose water to cleanse skin and follow an evening regimen.

Day 5

One of the main facial problems is dark spots. Treat dark circles with a natural under-eye lotion. Now prepare a scrub – mix two tablespoons of oatmeal with ten drops of rose water. Now add two tablespoons of glycerin and mix well. Apply this facial scrub 10 minutes before bathing. It will remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the skin, and its antiseptic properties will fight against dermatitis or eczema. A good night’s sleep and regular night care regime cannot be missed.

Day 6

On day six, you will see a dramatic change in your skin. Last day – take a half-ripe avocado and mash it up in a bowl so it’s free of lumps. Add two teaspoons of yogurt and apply the mask to your face and neck. After 15 minutes, rinse off. Avocados provide the skin with vitamins and minerals such as biotin, calcium and vitamins B5, C, E and A.
