A 27-year-old Kalamazoo woman was killed in a head-on crash on New Year’s
KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI – A Kalamazoo woman has been identified as the person killed in a head-on crash that occurred less than an hour before the start of the new year.
Winter Amanda Petrovich, 27, of Kalamazoo, was killed in a crash at 12:53 a.m. Jan. 1, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

She was driving north on Sprinkle Road, near East Michigan Boulevard, when two cars crashed head-on.
The 22-year-old driver, heading south, was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital with minor injuries. A 22-year-old passenger in the car was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said alcohol was believed to be a factor in the accident. The accident is under investigation.
